ENGINEERING SERVICE

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

Infrastructure treated as part of the product — provisioned as code, deployed automatically, and observable in production.

THE PROBLEM

Deployments are manual and stressful, nobody is confident about what is running in production, and the cloud bill grows without anyone able to explain why.

What we usually hear
  • Releases that require a person and a runbook
  • Infrastructure configured by hand and impossible to reproduce
  • Incidents discovered by customers rather than monitoring
  • Cloud spend growing faster than usage

HOW WE APPROACH IT

Engineering, not guesswork

Infrastructure becomes code, version controlled alongside the application, so environments are reproducible and changes are reviewable.

Delivery is automated end to end, with verification before merge, so releasing becomes routine.

We instrument for the questions you will actually ask at 2am, then right-size against real usage data.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Deliverables

  • Infrastructure as code, version controlled alongside the application
  • CI/CD pipeline with automated verification before merge
  • Monitoring, logging and alerting your team can act on
  • Cost review and right-sizing

WHAT CHANGES

Business outcomes

  • Releases that are routine rather than events
  • Environments reproducible from source
  • Incidents detected before customers report them
  • Cloud spend understood and controlled

TECHNOLOGY

What we typically build with

Selected against your constraints and your team's ability to maintain it — not against fashion.

  • AWS
  • Azure
  • Google Cloud
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • GitHub Actions
  • Grafana

HOW WE DELIVER IT

The same five phases, every time

See the full twelve-stage process for what each phase produces.

01

Discovery

We map the business problem and define success in measurable terms.

02

Architecture

Technology and data decisions made against your constraints, documented with reasoning.

03

Design

Journeys and interfaces resolved on screen, including everything that goes wrong.

04

Engineering

Short cycles ending in working software, reviewed and tested before it merges.

05

Deploy & Scale

Automated release, monitoring in production, and support as usage grows.

QUESTIONS

About cloud infrastructure & devops

Which cloud should we use?

Usually the one your team already knows. Migration between providers rarely pays for itself unless a specific service or a commercial arrangement justifies it.

Can you reduce our cloud bill?

Often significantly. Most over-spend comes from over-provisioning, forgotten resources and storage tiers nobody revisited. We start with an audit.

Do we need Kubernetes?

Probably not. It solves real problems at real scale and adds substantial operational cost below that. We will tell you which side of the line you are on.

Tell us the problem, not the brief

We will tell you whether cloud infrastructure & devops is actually the right answer, and what a first phase would take. See all services or how we work by industry.
